R03: SUNY direct-support microcredentials

E-021. University of Minnesota ICI for OPWDD, December 2025. Evaluation.

Method: Mixed-method evaluation through August 2025. The student survey invited current/former participants; the number who answered changes by question. An overall response rate is not stated in the reviewed section.

Learning: Employer referrals, skill development and degree credit feature in Tables 17–18. Students described useful coaching and flexible scheduling alongside difficulties with workload, technology and communication. [Printed pp. 21–30; PDF pp. 25–34.]

Limits: This is a funded, credit-bearing DSP program, not the NCSIM noncredit audience. Do not generalize its percentages.

Number check: Table 29 has 34 Strongly agree, 130 Agree, 86 Prefer not to answer, total 278. The narrative's 85% degree-intent figure requires counting a different set of responses. Do not quote it as the share of all respondents. [Printed p. 148; PDF p. 152.]

Confidence: Moderate for adjacent SUNY lessons.

Coverage: PDF pp. 5–7, 24–34, 150–152; tables 17–18 and 29 visually checked. Other initiatives/appendices remain outside this review. Retrieved October 26, 2026.
