About this course

Note: No class November 26, Thanksgiving Day. This course will introduce simple drawing techniques in pencil and color pencil. With instructor demonstrations, students will be introduced to still life, the human figure, portraiture, landscape, cityscape, mechanics, animals, and the mind’s eye. Photos and 3-D model references will be used. Art History and Aesthetics (including color theory) will be integrated. Accommodations will be made for students with more drawing experience. Register for Intro to Drawing Materials list: Hershengping Drawing Pencils sketch pencil art supplies set; 11 x14 spiral mixed media heavier paper, spiral pad (at least 30 sheets), and Kalour 72 count colored pencils.
