About this course

Bring new office skills to the healthcare setting! The Medical Office Administrative Assistant microcredential equips you with the essential skills, knowledge and experience needed to excel in administrative roles within various healthcare settings. You will learn medical terminology and basic anatomy and will be introduced to medical coding and billing. You will receive an intensive introduction to or review of Microsoft Office software and explore common medical office technology. Beyond classroom learning, you will gain hands-on field experience through an internship, honing your professionalism, teamwork, and interpersonal communication. This microcredential was developed in partnership with Guthrie Cortland and is designed to help you distinguish yourself from others vying for medical office administrative positions.
